They are the first phase of a solids control system/mud circulating system/fluids recovery system/slurry recycling system on a drilling rig, and are used to remove large solids (cuttings) from the drilling fluid ("Mud").
Since drill solids degrade rapidly when first processed, it is critical they quickly be removed from the circulating mud. That's where the shaker comes in, playing a vital role as the first mechanism for solids removal. Failure to keep solids out of the active mud could mean diminished record of production, equipment damage, non-productive time and higher costs.

--Vibratory motion driving G-force in 7.5 G’s producing drier cuttings discharge and improved separation efficiency.
-- Feeder can present fluid to the scalping screens as a uniform, low-impact curtain, utilizing all available screen area, regardless of drilling conditions.
--Spare parts and consumables have been designed to ensure the lowest replacement cost and long-term product durability.
-- Screen mesh is up to API standard. Also, replacement of pre-tensioned composite screen is made easy using our wedge block technology with limited downtime.
--Leaving the useful bentonite & barite particles in suspension for re-use, dramatically reducing disposal costs.

5.Shale shakers' components: rugged pre-tensioned screens
Heavy high-capacity composite shaker screens are the most rugged, long-lasting and efficient screens available. The new composite screens, unique in the industry, provide resistance to corrosive drilling fluids. The screens also offer significant fluid capacity, excellent resistance to blinding, drier solids discharge and a large net-usable screen area.
Composite construction creates an ultra-tight seal between the screen and screen bed and eliminates solids buildup and costly solids bypass. The unique screen-locking mechanism wedges the screen firmly in place and allows the screen to be removed for repair or replace.
