Block ice has a large dimension but has small contact area so it does not melt easily. It is usually cut into different pieces for different uses in ice sculpture, sea shipping and fish vessels. The small pieces of block ice can be also be used for various purposes. There will be a little loss because the ice will thaw partly when crushed. Focusun offers both transparent and milky white ice for your preference.

As shown above, first fully feed the ice bucket with water, press the button and start the refrigeration system. The agitator makes the water flow cyclically which will have a heat transfer with the refrigerant inside the Ti evaporative coils and then the temperature is lowered. Then the low temperature brine water has a heat transfer with the water inside the ice bucket which will be lowered to 0℃ below. After a certain ice making time, the water in the ice bucket all becomes ice when the ice thawing system is beginning to run. The crane will hoist a row of buckets down into the ice thaw tank full of running warm water. So the bucket temperature will be rising when the ice surface thaws and gets separated from ice bucket. Then ice buckets will be hoisted to the ice can dump. Fix buckets and then rotate dump upside down and ice is dropped down. Put up the buckets and refill water to a certain level using water feeding gadget, then the crane will hoist the buckets back to the brine water tank and hoist another row of ice buckets in the brine water tank. Thaw ice, drop ice and add water cyclically.
Equipment features

- The stainless PE parts between the brine and the fresh water is proper to mode and weld. And it works very well in a cold condition.

- The thawing tank is heated by hot gas discharged from the compressor so that it is more energy saving and suitable for low water temperature area.

Direct refrigeration block ice machine
In order to fulfill the demands of ice for human consumption or the food grade ice, Focusun™ has been practicing in the direct refrigeration technology for years.
Differed from the brine refrigeration, the direct refrigeration block ice machine is producing ice blocks in the aluminium evaporator. The material of aluminium is requirements in many countries. In addition to its hygienic advantage, the expectancy of usage can be extended due to its property of rust resistance.

Focusun Containerized block ice machine
Thanks to years' application in modular designing, all Focusun block ice machines can be installed in the ISO container so that it is easy and convenient to transport, install and move. And the whole set can work if there are proper place, water source and power supply even without any pipe line connection. These equipments can form a moving ice-making station installed on a truck.
Why containerized?
Generally, working conditions are crucial for maintaining the stability and performance of an ice machine. Being containerized, the ice machine can work in a relatively isolated environment, where the ambient temperature can be controlled at 20℃-25℃.And all this facilitate the ice making process.
The whole container has been specially treated and reinforced. It is also a perfect protection from the physical impact to the machine, and keeps the dust outside.
Both the brine refrigerating block ice machine and the direct refrigerating block ice machine are required to be fixed onto the plant ground. And it will become a trouble when you need to move the machine elsewhere, but that will never happen to a containerized one.
