New transformer to increase capacity at Voronezh substation

 

Russia, Voronezh: FGC UES, The Russian power transmission company is completing the reconstruction work of the 220 kV Rathena substation in the Voronezh region.

 

The substation upgrade project includes the replacement of a 125 MVA autotransformer with a new 200 MVA unit, which will increase the capacity of the substation to 400 MVA, reports EnergyLand.

 

The Latna substation, located in the northwestern part of the Voronezh region, was built in 1971 and was powered by the new Voronezh nuclear power plant, supplying electricity between the Voronezh and the Belgorod region.
