USA, Tennessee: The Johnson City Energy Board will begin construction at a new substation between Jonesburg and Johnson City, Tennessee, which will help to distribute power loads in the area and provide more reliable power supplies.
The Midway substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, will be built on Main Street, east of downtown Jonesborough and near Norfolk Southern’s railroad tracks, reports Johnson City Press.
Due to the location of the future substation site, the lane of the substation must take the winding route, because the transport transformer truck can only climb 5% to 7% of the grade.
